Growth Mind Counseling
Lori Santa Maria, Counselor in Training (CIT)
Hello, and thank you for visiting! My name is Lori Santa Maria, and I am a graduate student completing my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As I prepare to join Arizona’s esteemed network of licensed professionals, I am committed to expanding my skills and making a meaningful impact in the field of mental health. I resonate with a growth mindset because I believe that our roots are the foundations of our being, and when we start to question is when we branch out, grow, and find the answers we need to live our best lives.

I strive to provide a non-judgmental, compassionate space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. My role is to meet you where you're at and walk beside you
to help you navigate challenges, develop effective coping strategies, and achieve your personal and emotional well-being goals.

My counseling approach is genuine, transparent, thoughtful, evidence-based, and motivational. I integrate a variety of therapeutic frameworks to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. My practice is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy (NT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Drawing from these modalities, I help individuals develop resilience, gain clarity, and work toward meaningful personal growth.

My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma and PTSD, and life transitions such as divorce, job loss, identity loss, and mid-life changes. I look forward to the opportunity to connect and grow together.
