It is with sincere enthusiasm that I recommend Lori, for a position in your Counselor in Training program. I have had the pleasure of working with Lori for the past two years at Arizona Restorative Psychiatry where she has served as a Front office Manager. During this time, I have been consistently impressed by her dedication, empathy, and remarkable ability to connect with others.
Lori has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a genuine commitment to helping others. She was responsible for being first line to all patient encounters, was able to deal with multiple difficult situations involving clients in a crisis, providing support and encouragement, resolving conflicts, and demonstrating active listening skills. Lori consistently exceeded expectations in these areas, often going above and beyond to ensure the well-being of those she served.
I have observed first-hand Lori’s exceptional interpersonal skills. She possesses a natural ability to listen attentively, empathize with others' experiences, and offer support without judgment. For example, she was able to deal with one of our clients in crisis, she spent over 30min with the clients, able to do a great suicide risk assessment, and able to direct the client to the appropriate psychiatrist hospital for help. This situation, and many others, highlighted Lori's capacity for compassion and their genuine desire to help others navigate challenges.
I am confident that Lori has the potential to become an excellent counselor. Their genuine passion for helping others, combined with their strong interpersonal skills and dedication to personal growth, make them an ideal candidate for your program.
